Background Information:

Strengths and specialties in Interior Design: Amber's use of AutoCad and PhotoShop help to make concepts and ideas easy to visualize and understand. She loves to work on contemporary and craftsman designs.

How long in the business? Amber grew up around construction because her father is a contractor. She has been at Design Works for 6 years, but has been intrigued with the field of design since she was young.

Design Philosophy:

Amber views a great designer as one who can help their clients go beyond the expected - to a grander solution, while interpreting their concept and personality as well as incorporating function and aesthetics.

Experience and Credentials:

Amber has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Washington State University with a Professional Interior Design Certificate from Spokane Falls Community College. Amber also has received Associate of Arts degrees in Interior Design and Liberal Arts from Spokane Falls Community College. Amber's interests include traveling, art and sculpture, dance and theater, and shopping! She has extensive experience in concept sketching, construction, drafting, perspective drawings, presentation color boards and material specifications. Most recently, Amber completed two homes in the Street of Dreams home show with Molly Scott. One home was called The Artisan and the other was called Friday Harbor. Friday Harbor won Best Interior Design and Best Home Overall. Amber feels privileged to have been a part of such an accomplishment and enjoys being a part of such a talented and fun staff at Design Works.
